Lately

Shea has officially made it to the continent!  Shea's sister is getting married this Saturday, so I am not sure how much she will be posting (if at all).  I promise lovely photos of our time together in Vegas though ;). Now there are only three days until hubbs and I take off for the Grand Canyon and Vegas!!!

For Day 10 of the 30 for 30 Remix hosted by Kendi Everyday I wore my chambray J. Crew dress with a silk polka dotted blazer by Spencer Jeremy from Macy's with my pink Nine West pumps.  For accessories I went pretty simple with pearl studs and J. Crew pearl necklaces. I decided to give the loose dress a more fitted feel with a clasp belt from Chico's.

For Day 11 I wore my Apostrophe dress purchased from the shop on A Pretty Penny blog.  This time I paired it with a brown Banana Republic blazer, pearl necklace, and Chico's clasp belt with the pink Nine West pumps.  I was not sure how often I would wear these pink pumps when I purchased them, but obviously they are getting quite a bit of use!

On Day 12 I wore a black ruffled silk cami by J. Crew with a white Apostrophe blazer and silk patterned skirt by J. Crew.  I thought the brown in the skirt let me get away with my brown and black Cole Haan strappy shoes.  I am really loving these.  I also have not often worn necklaces with the silk ruffled camis that I purchased from J. Crew.  I think I might start wearing a short string of pearls with them though, I think that added more depth to the look.

Dresses and blazers oh my!

For Day 8 of the 30 for 30 challenge I wore a black and creme Jones NY Tweed Dress with some fun brown embellishment.  For work I added a black Banana Republic blazer.  I wore black drop earrings and my Michael Kors watch for accessories.  I thought my Cole Haan shoes were a great choice for this dress given the black and creme details on them.

For Day 9 I wore a white Antonio Melani sun dress.  I love the memories of wearing this dress to our rehearsal dinner the night before I married my love :o).  Also this dress has handy helping devices.  In the shoulder straps there is some string with a snap at the end so that you can keep the straps for your over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder in place.  For work I added the navy with white detail Antonio Melani blazer and yellow wedge sandals.  For accessories I wore my J. Crew necklaces with gold and pearl details.

Apparently all I wear are dresses and blazers most of the time!  I do love dresses :-).

Fabulous Friday

Once again, it is time to play "Give it a Miss, Give it a Go or Give it to Me" where I'll post pics of celeb outfits and you can tell me whether you wouldn't wear it (give it a miss), like it and might wear it (give it a go) or love it and want it (give it to me).

Here is this week's contender...Olivia Wilde! All pics taken from Go Fug Yourself and you should check out that site too...very witty stuff!

Awkward & Awesome Thursday + 30 for 30 pieces

Sydnei from The Daybook hosts Awkward & Awesome Thursdays.

Awkward
1) The fact that I am JUST NOW posting pics of the 30 pieces/pairs of shoes that I am using for the 30 for 30 challenge.
2) Squinty eyes.  They are fine when I'm inside...they're a bit small, but they work.  However, when it is a sunny day and I am trying to take pictures I always end up looking like some sort of rodent who lives in the dark!  I must work on my Tyra Banks WIDE EYED look!
3) That I can't count! I have never been a numbers person.  Somehow I ended up with only 26 pieces below.  I guess I now can add in a few more shoe options!  Yay shoes!

Awesome
1) Lovely summer days.  Yesterday it was a fabulous 65 degrees and sunny as I did my morning run.  It was perfect.
2)  Running is getting easier.  As noted above, I enjoyed my run the other day.
3) Only NINE DAYS and 17 hours before I make it to Vegas and get to see Shea Babe!!!

Sunny Days

For day 5 of the 30 for 30 remix (inspired and directed by Kendi Everyday) I wore my green tweed Jones NY blazer with the skirt of my brown Banana Republic suit.  I wore my ruffled silk yellow J. Crew tank underneath.  I wore my new Cole Haan shoes I purchased on ebay for the first time!  I love them.

For day 6 I wore another dress purchased from The Pretty Penny blog's online shop.  I also wore a new belt that is from Chicos.  I love the gold claw clasps.  I also wore my pink Nine West pumps and my Apostrophe white blazer.  I had fun taking my pictures by a new art installation in Old Town.

On day 7 I had a Continuing Legal Education event so I had to put on my lawyer costume.  I wore my brown Banana Republic suit with my pink leopard print silk tank from The Limited.  For accessories I wore my Premier pearls with the blingy brooch and real fresh water pearl bracelets.  It was SOO sunny behind my favorite BBQ joint where I decided to try and take pics.  I could hardly open my eyes...hence the groundhog like looks in my pics.

Colour Contrast & Music Monday

I chose this outfit mostly for comfort. I haven't worn this top/tunic in a while and I was surprised it still fit to be honest! I think looking at myself here it is making my chest look huge and I'm not crazy about that. I paired it with the green cardigan from Dorothy Perkins that I am quite fond of when I want to add a splash of colour to my outfit.
Top: Ichi (from B.Young), Cardigan: Dorothy Perkins, Leggings: Topshop, Boots: Penneys
Enjoy some tunes from the UO Blog! ♥

Golden Girls

On day 4 of the 30 for 30 challenge I wore a dress by Tori Richards that I purchased from from A Pretty Penny blog's shop where she sells her clothes.  She has some great deals on there.  I love the print and the V shape of the back.  I thought it would look great with longer necklaces so I wore two J. Crew pearl necklaces.  It makes me feel a bit like one of the Golden Girls...in a good way ;).  For work I put on a  white blazer by Apostrophe.

For day 5 I went with a predominantly monochromatic pink look.  My shoes are pink Nine West pumps.  The jacket is by Spencer Jeremy from Macy's.  The skirt is Banana Republic.  The bow-tie shirt is from Chinese Laundry.

Awkward & Awesome Thursday + 30 for 30 so far

Sydnei at The Daybook hosts Awkward & Awesome Thursdays and we like to play along.

Awkward
1. Losing pictures!  Somehow I lost my day 1 pictures of my 30 x 30 outfits.  I'll re-do it though.  It was a lovley mono-chromatic pink look!
2.   Being behind posting my choices for the Kendi Everyday 30 x 30 challenge.  I'll get that done this weekend hopefully!

Awesome
1.  Picking your clothes for the challenge carefully.  I took quite a bit more care this time ensuring that options would work well together.
2.  The weekend!  Yay! It's almost here ;).

First Few Days of the Challenge

On Day 2 I wore an Antonio Melani Dress and Banana Republic Brown Jacket.

On day 3 I wore an Antonio Melani jacket, Apt. 9 skirt, and INC white blouse with cut-outs.  I wore black Nine West pumps.

A Little Lipsy

This is what I wore to work today. I thought I would try putting these pieces together to see if it worked. I think it was successful! It wasn't quite nice enough outside to go without a cardigan and the longer ones I have hid the longer hem of the top. The leggings are made to look like skinny jeans but are cotton. I'm not sure they'd be classed as 'jeggings' or not but they are comfy!
